The standard UGC formula is: Percentage = CGPA × 9.5. A CGPA of 8.0 = 76%. Note that some universities like VTU, Anna University, and Mumbai University use different conversion formulas.

What CGPA is required for good campus placements?

Most top companies (TCS, Infosys, Wipro) require minimum 6.5-7.0 CGPA. Core engineering and product companies often require 7.5+. IIT/NIT placements may have cutoffs of 7.0-8.0 for top recruiters.
